All the fresh graduates might be appearing for various entrance examinations with a hope to enter a postgraduate program. The experience of it is like being pulled towards a black hole. You know, you are being pulled; but, the after effects are uncertain.
Well as for India, we have the All India examination: which is just entitled that way, and it doesn’t hold true for all the colleges across India. Private colleges have their separate money bagging quota and a separate formality test, to prove their system is clean. Different states have different exams. The application procedure to each one of them is different and tedious.
The examination pattern is universal: multiple choice test. A choice between four options would decide an individuals intellect and interest. It seems a bit vague, but, following the system is what we can do. Extra credits and contribution towards the field holds no importance.
The reference books available in the market are composed by surveying amongst the student groups and internet discussion forums. The answers to these questions are different according to different books. This just adds more drama to our confused heads.
Even after studying so hard and putting a year of efforts, sometimes even more than a year; we rarely get a chance to decide the field of our choice. Only the first few lucky ones get the choice, rest all just have to compromise and accept what they get. Otherwise they have to get in the game again, waste a year and try their luck.
Amidst this uncertainty and chaos, we are just giving a try and being hopeful.
